Katam Karaniyam (for the time being) - Thank You Team Tohu!

I am deeply flattered by this heartfelt review by my comrades from Reshimot Tohu zine (aka. The Chaos Notes). You can read the whole thing here:

http://www.reshimotohu.com/as-if-at-the-dawn-of-the-world

Thank you very much, fellow members of team Tohu for your kind, supportive words. Beyond your overwhelmingly positive reaction to my music, I was deeply touched by your keen attention to detail… You guys seemed to nail it all: from the way I designed the flow of the album, to the source of inspiration I had when doing this, to the deep Sehensucht for simpler times in "השיבה", to the many dualities I tried to incorporate into the art and the music, particularly the combination between my middle eastern identity and elements of Traditional Europe.

I've said it many times before, but I'll say it again: when it comes to music journalism, Reshimotohu are undoubtedly among the keenest, most honest and very best our country has to offer. Proud to be part of your team and infinitely grateful for all the ways in which I can contribute to our combined efforts.

Katam Karaniyam-"done is what was to be done"

As for "Ensorcelled", the realization that it had managed to convey everything I had envisioned it to convey during its process of creation fills me with a great sense of artistic satisfaction. For the time being, I can only say: katam karaniyam-"done is what was to be done".

Coming Soon…

Well, here we are.

It all happened so fast I'm still having trouble grasping it myself.

Several months ago, I did a secret release - a pilot of sorts - for the whole thing on Bandcamp. Your reactions and support were overwhelmingly positive, but I honestly never expected it to go this far.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll just leave you with this flyer.

If all goes well, Ensorcelled will come out soon on CD format with the generous help of Masters of Kaos Productions.

Dear followers and friends, my fellow renegades of the spirit, I could not have brought this to you without your heartfelt support, for which I am infinitely grateful.

"Ensorcelled" is my humble offering to the genre. It is a love letter, if you wish, to the great masterpieces of Black Metal which ensorcelled me into doing the Great Work of drawing order out of Khaos. A work which I practice, among other ways, through music composition.

P.S. In the meantime, you can still get a sneak peak of "Ensorcelled" on the project's Bandcamp. Just click the icon above… Follow and share if you like what you're hearing!

The Trident Banner

Well, here we are again.

Last single to be released before I unleash the whole thing upon an unsuspecting world.

I saved the best for the last. It's hard to be objective about one's own work but if I were to choose, this is would be my favorite track.

I remember the process of writing this song. My friend who used to do session bass for Khaos (Hey there if you're reading this!) introduced me to a project called Saturno. The raw, hypnotic melody of "To the Elfpaths I Ride" proved to me once again that the people of Hellas were a worthy heir to the art of Black Metal.

Somewhere in the corner of my mind I was also deeply inspired, as when I came to write this song, I thought of it as my own tribute to Saturno and early Summoning combined.

Back in October when war first broke in my country, I mentioned the role of music as a powerful weapon in the mental and spiritual battlefield.

Three months later, my hopes are to go full circle with my own creative endeavors:

I want this song to inspire courage and determination in the face of adversity, and just like the military musicians of yore, I hope to thus serve renegade heroes and seekers by marching by their side to the battlefield, war-drum in hand, to awaken the life that cuts through life and turn it against all that threatens to quench it.

Dear renegade spirits, the time has almost come.

More updates on the new release will come soon.

Very soon.
